Sanjay Sampath

Professor Sanjay Sampath focuses on the thermal spray processing of materials, the synthesis of multilayered surfaces, and the development of direct-write technologies for thick-film sensors and electronics. His research integrates fundamental and applied approaches to understand microstructural evolution under far-from-equilibrium conditions. By translating these foundational insights into industrial applications, he advances coating design, performance, and reliability through thermal spray science.
